Fee Schedule

For Psychological Services Offered

Dr. O’Shea’s psychological services are billed at an hourly rate as follows:

  • Intake/Diagnostic assessment: $250 (this is the first appointment for both therapy and evaluation services)

  • Therapy: $220 (50-minute session)

    $185 (30-minute session)

  • Comprehensive Evaluations: $275 per hour

    • Typical total cost range is $2600-3600 for an intake, two 2-3 hour assessment sessions, and a feedback session.

    • This total includes time spent reviewing prior records, collaborating with other professionals (e.g. your therapist, teachers, psychiatrist), test scoring, interpretation, and report writing.

  • Early Kindergarten readiness assessment (Divided into two parts)

    • $550 for the cognitive (IQ) testing

    • If the child scores at >98th percentile on the IQ test, an achievement test would be conducted on a separate day at an additional $550

  • Giftedness testing (IQ only if need a qualifying score for school/program entrance)

    • A very brief score summary is provided: $550

  • Homeschool academic yearly assessment (Woodcock-Johnson-5, WIAT-4, KTEA-3)

    • A brief score summary is provided: $550

  • Other service fees are outlined in the client services agreement signed upon initiating services with Dr. O’Shea

Please Note:

  • Payment is due at time of service for psychological assessment and therapy.

  • A credit card is required to be on file in the electronic medical record system prior to attending the first appointment.

  • We accept Visa and Mastercard (sorry, no Amex or Discover).

  • HSA cards are accepted but will require a backup card if there are insufficient funds.

Dr. O’Shea. is an out-of-network provider and does not participate directly with insurance plans. This allows services to be guided by clinical need rather than insurance limitations, including the ability to spend the time needed for comprehensive, individualized care.

Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, which may allow for partial reimbursement. Upon request, a detailed superbill can be provided for you to submit to your insurance company.

Families are encouraged to contact their insurance provider to better understand their out-of-network mental health benefits, including reimbursement rates and deductibles.
